Thailand, day 6 : Bangkok

In English : After a long day of traveling by bus from Sukhothai, we're back in the sweltering heat of Bangkok. We took the opportunity to visit the Royal Palace...  

Personally, I didn't like more than that (too crowded, too much heat, too much gilding everywhere). Beware of scammers lurking around tourist sites also ... 

In the evening we went to the famous Chatuchak Market, but I have no pictures to show you. I found a pretty dress, but again watch out for scammers! Grr! We got pissed off twice by being too naive, nothing serious but it's annoying...

 

En français : Après une longue journée de voyage en bus depuis Sukhotai, nous revoici dans la chaleur étouffante de Bangkok. Nous en avons profité pour visiter le Palais Royal... 

Perso, je n'ai pas aimé plus que ça (trop de monde, trop de chaleur, trop de dorures de partout!). Attention aux arnaqueurs qui rôdent autour des sites touristiques aussi... 

Le soir nous sommes allés au fameux marché de Chatuchak, mais je n'ai pas de photos à vous montrer. J'y ai trouvé une jolie robe, mais là aussi attention aux arnaqueurs!! Grr! On s'est fait embêté par deux fois en étant trop naïfs, rien de grave mais bon c'est agaçant...

Mon vieux manteau chéri

In English: Hehe, I again show you an old stuff!

I really love this coat, the first one I bought myself, I remember it was 12 years ago.

It was totally screwed up and getting moldy inside of my closet... By doing my retrospective, I was reminded of it... I went to get it repaired and cleaned, which cost me two times its original price! Arg... But finding it has revived lot of memories, my first loves, my success in a competition that changed my life... I could not throw this coat.

By the way, these photos were taken near a great English grocery store near my flat, I love to buy Chai tea (to drink with a spoon of honey and a dash of milk), and delicious butterscotch shortbread that I dip into it... They also have great choice of M&M's and Reese, yum! *3*

En français : Héhé, je vous ressors encore une vieillerie!

Je tiens énormément à ce manteau, le premier que je me suis offert, je me souviens que c'était il y a 12 ans.

Il était tout bousillé et moisissait tranquillou au fond de ma penderie... En faisant ma rétrospective, je me suis souvenue de lui... Je suis allée le faire réparer et nettoyer, ce qui m'a couté 2 fois son prix d'origine!! Arg... Mais le retrouver a ravivé de tels souvenirs, mes premiers amours, la réussite d'un concours qui a changé ma vie... Je ne pouvais pas jeter ce manteau.

En passant, ces photos ont été prises près d'une super petite épicerie anglaise près de chez moi, j'adore y acheter du thé Chai (à boire avec une cuillère de miel et un nuage de lait), et de délicieux biscuits sablés que je trempe dedans... Ils ont aussi une sacrée collec de M&M's et des Reese, miam!! *3*
